It’s the same age as me!! (Nearly )

The game that got me hooked into computers. I remember going round to my friend’s house all the time to get to play the original on the BBC Micro. I even once got attacked by Thargoids while warping (that was really really rare).

I bought it (at least I pestered my parents until they bought it for me), played for probably as much time as I’ve spent playing WoW and eventually Commander Zaphod made it to “Elite”. A major milestone in my gaming history.

The only game that has the same scope is Eve Online. I want to like that sooo much and every year I try again but it’s too late. Maybe Jumpgate Evolution will be the one….I live in hope.
